For some time now people had been wondering what happened to the 50’s pin-up queen Bettie Page. You can basically sum up her existence as the inspiration of a lot of artists in their crafts. Photographers, designers, comic book artists and actresses try to achieve the same kind of look, appeal and attitude that made her famous throughout the history.

Bettie Page started out as a glamor model in a photography club. Bettie became popular because of her lack of inhibitions when it comes to modeling. Bettie Paige has done a lot of Broadway shows, movies and TV appearances but what made her shine out in the porn industry is her launch as the Playboy’s “Playmate of the Month” in their January 1955 issue. Bettie Page also became the centerfold and won the “Miss Pinup Girl of the World.” She was also made famous by being the first model who did BDSM themes. Unfortunately after years of being in demand by different photographers and publishers, she was summoned to appear before the United States Congress and explain her photos. After the hearing, most of her films and photographs had been destroyed; any other photos that hasn’t been surrendered are considered illegal. From then on, she disappeared from the publics view.

Only recently, it has been revealed what exactly happened to Bettie Page during the past 40 years. In 1958, she attended a Christian Service in Key West, Florida. She realized her Christian calling and became an active member of the religious organization. Different versions of her life was published during the years. One book says she went through remarkable Christian encounters but; another book by Richard Foster: “The Real Bettie Page: The Truth about the Queen of Pinups” claims that Bettie has gone through a series of domestic misfortunes with her third husband and two stepchildren. According to reports, Bettie Page was also convicted for attempted murder. She was said to have stabbed her roommate while claiming, that it was God who inspired Page to kill her!

Recently, Bettie Page has resurfaced in the public view, granting one on one interviews and gracing autograph sessions but this time, she insisted that she doesn’t want her pictures taken anymore. Page insisted that she prefers being remembered for being a top pin-up girl that she is.

Its too bad that there Bettie never appeared on any vintage porn, good thing that flixes offers vintage DVDs including porn of the past three decades.
